Just a little about me...

My parents moved my sisters and me around a lot. I've lived on both the west side and east side of the state. Our summers were spent boat camping in the San Juans, exploring the Olympic Peninsula, in a little cabin on Hat Island and on Lake Chelan. In my high school years my parents decided to make it permanent. They packed us up and moved us to the Lake. Growing up a nomad has given me the opportunity to discover everything Washington State has to offer. We are the luckiest people!

I met Tom...

I moved myself back over to the west side and that is where I met Tom. He was in the Navy at the time, so the moving continued to be a huge part of my life. Traveling across the US and back has been so much fun. I've never really explored much outside Washington, so all our "new roads" were the best adventures yet. We've been married for 21 years now and have been busy raising 2 amazing girls and several puppies along the way. We are definitely dog people.

My Photography Story

I started photography school right before digital photography was a thing. Shooting film has given me a great education when it comes to lighting and exposure. It is the reason for my love of black and white images. My projects in school seemed to have always centered around portraiture. Shooting my first wedding back in 2002, I realized I was using my organizational gifts along with the management and people skills that I learned by working in restaurants my whole life. I fell in love with being a part of the emotion, the family and friends and being able to tell the whole story from beginning to end.

Tom and I have always been surrounded by the most amazing people. Being so connected with family and a community has spurred on the direction for my business. I love documenting big moments, like weddings, senior portraits and even births. I am honored having people in my life who have hired me and have become family.

My Philoshopy...

I am a firm believer in timeless images. At the same time I am an artist and many things will inspire me. I am led not only by my clients personalities, but also the environment I shoot in. I look forward to getting to know you, working with your ideas and inspirations. Together we can create something beautiful.

A few things that make my heart happy...

I love swimming in Lake Chelan on a hot summer's night; it's even better in a rain storm. Rearranging my furniture, deep cleaning and organizing things helps me clear my heart and my mind. I'm a tree lover. My dream is to travel the world to photograph to the most amazing ones out there. I love new roads and adventures. I love a good game night with friends and laughing till it hurts. A hot cup of coffee on a cool fall morning, especially on a sandy beach anywhere. Who am I kidding, its coffee everywhere and every time. I could live anywhere as long as there is water near by. A good pair of boots can make me feel invincible. I love traveling and meeting new people and learning about their stories. I can't wait to hear about yours!
